Photography is a cloister that houses its own austerity; its own doubts; its own inspirations. Such is the point-of-view of fine art photographer and filmmaker Nelson; an artist often overwhelmed by the absurdity of things. He seeks consolation in the monochromatic photographs he makes of fine art nudes, portraiture, and, frequently, the street. His films—often peppered with subtle humor and poignancy—are also a deliberate exploration of the absurd.
An intrinsic minimalist, Nelson’s artistic signature is one of simplicity, aiming to let the photographs convey the message.
He is currently based in Wellington, FL.
